This nationally respected institution was founded in 1886, to rival
the Royal Academy of Arts who in the opinion of the founder members
were not representing the art of the day. Membership has included WilsonSteer,
Sir Walter Sickert and Gwen John.

This prestigious society was formed in 1804 and is the oldest of its
kind in the world. It is dedicated to the art of watercolour of which
the British are considered to be pre-eminent. Society members have included
